Better Conversations Partnership Agreement for One2One Coaching Sessions
By booking your One2One Coaching Session, you agree to this Better Conversations Partnership Agreement.
Coaching is a partnership with your Coach designed to facilitate the creation and development of personal, professional or business goals and to develop and carry out a strategy or plan for achieving those goals.
Coaching is a comprehensive process that may involve all areas of your life including work, finances, health, relationships, education and recreation. Deciding how to handle these issues and implement your choices is exclusively your responsibility.
Coaching is not a substitute for professional advice by legal, medical, financial, business, spiritual, or other qualified professionals. All decisions and any actions are your sole responsibility.
Your well-being throughout our sessions is your responsibility, including your choices and decisions. Coaching is not psychotherapy and is not a substitute for counselling or therapy.
Your Coach cannot guarantee any results because these are down to your commitment and follow-through. That said, most people report significant progress on their goals and understanding of themselves — we recommend a minimum of 6 sessions with your Coach to begin to see the impact.
Please be honest with your Coach at all times. You can say anything to them, positive or negative. This includes honesty in your responses and letting them know if something makes you uncomfortable or if you do not want to respond to a question. If at any time you experience discomfort during one of your sessions or are unsatisfied, please bring it to your Coach’s attention. We are working as a team to grow your life positively and together we will make the necessary adjustments to keep the coaching process moving forward.
If your Coach ever says something that upsets you or does not feel right, bring it up. We promise to do what is necessary to create a successful coaching relationship.
We highly recommend a quiet space for your sessions where you won’t be interrupted and where you have a strong internet signal. Please do not conduct coaching calls from mobile phones while you are driving (even hands-free) and avoid coffee shops.
Your Coach’s commitment to you includes being present and available for you at your sessions and being unconditionally constructive and supportive at all times.
Your Coach will always speak the truth to you as they see it. You may not always agree with them and your Coach counts on you to tell them when those times happen.
At times, your Coach may challenge you or ask tough questions to help move the process forward and overcome perceived limitations. If your Coach makes a request, you may accept, reject, or alter the request.
Your Coach may provide you with homework including materials needed for your coaching relationship and to help you move forward more quickly.
At times, your Coach may recommend assessment tools or other materials that may have an additional fee. They will discuss all this with you in advance. These tools can provide us with valuable information about your behaviours and leadership traits, your needs and your challenges.
Your sessions and information you share with your Coach are kept confidential to the extent allowed by law. Our Coaches subscribe to and are governed by the International Coach Federation’s Code of Ethical Conduct. This code includes a prohibition against disclosing that you are a client, without your written permission. (However, as the client, you are free to tell anyone you choose about the benefits you get from your Coaching sessions!)
However, please know that if you share with your Coach that you are engaged in illegal activity or intend harm to yourself or others, your Coach reserves the right to disclose that information to the appropriate authorities.
Occasionally, certain topics and information may be shared anonymously with other coaching professionals, for training or consultation purposes and for promotional purposes. Your identity or details that could identify you will never be disclosed without your express written permission.
As part of the professional development and certification of our Executive Coaches, we may be required to submit your name, contact information, and number of coaching hours to a certifying body such as the International Coach Federation of which our coaches are members. The topics or details of your coaching will never be revealed. We assume we have your permission to provide this information, unless you let your Coach know in writing otherwise.
Please be on time. Your time with your Coach begins when you are scheduled to start, not when you show up.
Please provide more than 48 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel a session. Late cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged for the full session.
Should you choose to continue working with your Better Conversations Executive Coach, this Coaching Agreement will persist. Future engagements are open meaning you or your Coach can cancel or pause sessions provided we give each other 10 working days’ written notice.
You will be added to Better Conversations emailing list and will receive periodic updates on topics that we believe may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive these emails, you can unsubscribe at any time.
